• Generated content: comments, discussions, and custom lists you create within the platform.

We use your information to:

• Personalize your experience by showing recommendations based on your reading.
• Display your reading progress and statistics on your profile.
• Allow you to participate in discussions and share opinions with the community.
• Send notifications about replies to your comments or relevant updates (if enabled).
• Improve the service through aggregated and anonymous usage analytics.

HwaList uses cookies and browser local storage for the following purposes:

• Authentication tokens: Supabase stores session tokens to keep you securely signed in.
• Theme preference: we save your light/dark mode preference in local storage.
• Language preference: we store your preferred language to deliver the right experience.

We do not use third-party cookies for advertising or tracking purposes.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We never have and never will.

Your user profile is public by username. This means other users can see your username, avatar, bio, public lists, and activity within the platform. You can control the visibility of your lists from your profile settings.

We may share information only if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

We implement security measures to protect your information:

• Passwords are stored encrypted using secure algorithms managed by Supabase Auth.
• We use Row Level Security (RLS) in Supabase to ensure each user can only access and modify their own data.
• All communications between your browser and our servers are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.

While we strive to protect your information, no system is 100% secure. We recommend using a strong and unique password for your account.

As a HwaList user, you have the right to:

• Modify your profile: you can update your username, avatar, bio, and other information from your account settings.
• Export your data: you can request a copy of your personal data and reading history.
• Delete your account: you can request the complete deletion of your account and all associated data. This action is irreversible.
